Cristy Guy Fashion Stylist and Makeup Artist . . .started
designing her career at the early age of 10 when she was given her first sewing machine-a Christmas present. Although her
career has branched out from fashion designer to fashion stylist to makeup artist, it all works for her and her clients. She
brings all of that experience and insight to her projects. “I absolutely love what I do. I'm just using my
God given talents! I also have to give props to my grandma for unkowingly preparing me for this business," says Guy.
Cristy earned a cum laude degree in Fashion Design from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in
Los Angeles, CA. With over 14 years in the fashion industry, along with 7 years in the beauty industry,
Cristy continues to perfect her skills through workshops and continuing education.
Her core fashion style
is sexy and comfortable. She loves to add an element of sexiness with a punch of color in her work. As ironic
as it may sound, her core makeup style is simple and natural. She loves for her clients to look like themselves but even more fabulous.
Although these are directions which she is instinctively drawn to, Cristy has the ability to interpret and understand each
project and client, realizing each have their own needs. This allows her to create a wide variety of looks for all types of
clients.
“With all of my skills and background, I can deliver what my clients and projects call for. On set, I can
be the eyes and mind of both fashion stylist and makeup artist. I can custom make anything from a seat cushion to jacket to
an elegant evening gown. And I can visualize a concept and create a plan to make it happen”, she
says.
Her print work can be seen in Hallmark
Magazine, Diane Magazine, Twist, People Magazine and many others. You might have seen her work on a national ad campaign for
Rocawear in GQ, Rides or King Magazine. Cristy doesn’t just stop at the print industry; she also works in television
and on live performances. Cristy’s resume includes such clients as NFL Network, Hallmark Cards, Outdoor
Life Network, WE Network and Gatorade. Celebrity clientele include Jim Belushi, Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs, Sam
Sarpong, Deion Sanders, Len Dawson, Fatal1ity and country music artists' Big & Rich.
